I navigated depression for over 2 decades.
A big part of my personal struggle came from how infuriating I found it to witness people deciding each other’s worthiness based on race, gender, location, or language.
I made a decision to figure out how we actually transform this problem, and as I began to emerge from my healing journey, I got very curious about the effects of joy.
I transitioned from psychotherapy to being a coach, and began to use somatic joy with clients (joy in the body).
I was working with clients in many different countries, cultures and bodies. And I was mind-blown by the results.
My clients got raises and promotions, created prosperous businesses, and met the loves of their lives.
Naturally, I began to research why this was happening, and I found something unexpected that made my heart sparkle …
That heartfelt positive emotion can help people see each other’s common humanity, and maybe even be part of healing racism.
Of course this isn’t the only thing we need. We also need systems and structures to change. Yet perhaps there’s a treasure that we haven’t fully tapped into yet - and what if it feels pleasurable too?
